Ortega/Getty Lark Voorhies has filed for divorce from Jimmy Green after just six months of marriage, PEOPLE confirms. She filed the documents Monday in Pasadena, California, and cited irreconcilable differences as the cause, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. “They can remain friends, but it’s best they sever their marriage ties,” Voorhies’ mother Tricia tells PEOPLE. “Lark is ready to move forward with her life and wishes him well with his life.” TMZ was the first to report the news. The Saved by the Bell alum, 41, wed Green, 32, in a private ceremony in Las Vegas in April. They met in 2014 at a networking event in the Los Angeles area and immediately started dating. In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE at the time, Lark said, “We have known it was meant to be for a while now and are so happy we found each other. I look forward to all the wonderful moments and memories we will create together. Thank you so much for all the well wishes and we appreciate them indeed!” Shortly after they wed, court documents revealed a 2012 arrest warrant for Green for disorderly conduct and threatening to intimidate in Tucson, Arizona, and Lark’s rep Jennifer Wolfson told PEOPLE they were “looking into the matter and are obviously concerned about these allegations.” RELATED: Behind the Scenes of Patrick Dempsey’s Shocking Divorce Tricia knew about the wedding but did not attend, though she told PEOPLE at the time that Lark “says he makes her happy.” Four days after their nuptials, Tricia was granted a temporary restraining order against her son-in-law; however, she still said she wanted the best for her daughter: “I hope he proves to be everything that she hopes him to be,” she told PEOPLE. According to court documents, the couple separated Sept. 2.
