Lamar Odom is being transferred from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, PEOPLE can confirm.

A source tells PEOPLE that Odom was transferred to the ICU at Cedars-Sinai, L.A., on Monday night. The former NBA star is said to have been airlifted via a medical helicopter.

“Khloé and several nurses are with him. Lamar still can’t walk but has left the hospital in a bed,” the source reveals.

Odom, 35, woke up from a four-day coma on Friday, after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last week. PEOPLE confirmed on Sunday that he is no longer on a ventilator and is breathing on his own.

Khloé Kardashian has been by Odom’s side ever since the news broke last week.

Although Odom’s condition appears to be improving, a source tells PEOPLE that he still has a long way to go in his recovery: “He’s responsive, but there are so many things that could go wrong right now, and the doctors have still been guarded. Khloé has been praying a lot, both to herself and out loud to Lamar. She wants him to know that she’s still on his side, and that everyone is praying for him.”

E! reported earlier today that Odom would be transferred to L.A. pending his condition remaining stable.
