In an interview with E! News, Chicago Fire star Kinney says he would definitely be interested in working on a TV show with his fiancée, who he met while filming the music video for her song “You and I” in 2011, again.
“I would love doing something with her,” says Kinney, 34. “I don’t know that we’ve done anything workwise since [we met]. I wouldn’t put that out of the realm of possibilities.”
“I just wanted to help my girl prepare the best that she could, so that in itself has helped me just kind of get immersed in it, in the work, and that translates,” Kinney says. “The more you talk about it, the more you do it, that stays with you.”
The onscreen firefighter also enlisted some of his castmates to help his fiancée make the switch from global pop star to actress.
“We’ve gotten together Friday nights, Saturday nights to help my girl prepare, to help read, to get her off book, to give her choices,” Kinney says of Chicago Fire stars Eamonn Walker and Monica Raymund.
Kinney believes that all of their combined hard work has paid off, saying that the AHS: Hotel premiere “was amazing.”
“I’m proud of her and I push her. I support her 100 percent. Ryan Murphy has done an amazing job. That cast is amazing,” he says. “She loves it, she really does. I think she did great.”
