Kyle Richards is opening up about her sometimes rocky relationship with sister Kim.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star says her sister, who has struggled with sobriety, is in a good place.

“She’s happy. She’s sober. She shows up this season,” Kyle said on Andy Cohen Live on Andy Cohen‘s SiriusXM channel Radio Andy.

It’s been a rough year for Kim, 51. The former child star was arrested in April and charged with trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. She checked into rehab shortly after.

Speaking about their relationship, Kyle, 46, said sometimes RHOBH doesn’t help matters, with reruns of the series bringing up bad blood between them.

“We have a very difficult relationship and we will probably always be a work in progress,” Kyle said.

And family wasn’t the only relationship Richards was feeling confessional about.

The star spoke about Girlfriends Guide to Divorce star C. Thomas Howell, who was her first boyfriend. The former couple dated for five years, around the time Howell rose to fame as Ponyboy in The Outsiders. Cohen pressed Kyle for details, and got her to admit she lost her virginity to Powell, before she shouted, “Oh my God, this is so awkward!”

When Cohen asked her for details of how long the couple was dating before they had sex, Kyle declined to comment, saying “I have four daughters,” before going on to joke that they waited many years before consummating the relationship.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns with season 6 Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
