Here’s some wickedly good news for fans looking forward to Hairspray Live!

Kristin Chenoweth announced she is joining NBC’s musical as Velma Von Tussle, who was played by Debbie Harry in the 1988 film and Michelle Pfeiffer in the 2007 remake.

“I clinched Miss Baltimore Crabs! SO excited to play Velma Von Tussle in @HairsprayLive this December,” the actress tweeted Tuesday, alongside a glamerous photo truly worthy of the musical.

Chenoweth, 47, joins a star-studded cast, including Maddie Baillio as Tracy Turnblad, Harvey Fierstein as brassy mama Edna Turnblad, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle and Derek Hough TV host Corny Collins.

Hairspray Live! is based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and takes place in 1962 Baltimore. It centers on Tracy Turnblad, whose dream to dance on The Corny Collins Show changes both her life and TV.

Hairspray Live! airs Dec. 7 on NBC.
