Kourtney Kardashian Steps Out with a Friend from Church as Source Says They Have 'Chemistry'
Kourtney Kardashian was all smiles after having dinner with a fellow churchgoer last week — but at least for now, sources tell PEOPLE that it’s nothing romantic.
Kardashian, 39, was photographed leaving Nobu Malibu with David Dee Duron last Thursday. Duron is involved with Vous church, which is based in Miami and connected to Hillsong, the church Kardashian regularly attends in Los Angeles.
One source tells PEOPLE that the dinner date didn’t seem romantic, and a second source says Kardashian and Duron are just friends.
A third source adds that while it’s platonic for now, there’s potential for something more down the line.
“It’s just friendship now. They met through the church and they have a lot of mutual friends. But for now, it’s just a friendly relationship,” the source explains. “He’s a lot younger than her, so there’s an age difference. He’s about 12 years younger than her. But he’s very mature. He’s a serious Christian and so is she, and there’s definitely some chemistry there.”
“They could turn into something in the future, but it hasn’t happened yet,” the source says. “They’re just talking and spending a little bit of time together. This isn’t a big romance, but I’d say there’s some mutual interest there. There’s potential. So who knows?”
And it’s not like she hasn’t dated younger men before. Kardashian was most recently linked to Grown-ish actor and model Luka Sabbat, 21, and their brief romance came after her split from Younes Bendjima, 25.
“It was a fun fling for her, but not a big deal,” a source told PEOPLE of Kardashian and Sabbat in October. “She has more important things to focus on, like her kids and her work.”
She shares three children (Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4) with her ex Scott Disick, 35.
