Kirsten Dunst revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she got to do just that when preparing for her role as Peggy Blomquist in season 2 of Fargo “Yeah, I gained weight for this role,” Dunst, 33, told Kimmel during a Monday appearance on the show. “But really, I just sat in my bed, watched Friday Night Lights and, like, ate.” “I was in Calgary it was cold, so I ordered in a lot of pizza grilled cheese. I just had different cheeses and breads together.” (Dunst did not state how much weight she gained for the role.) Dunst plays the small-town beautician on the FX series, which premiered its second season on Monday. The new season takes place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Luverne, Minnesota, in 1976. The Bring it On actress said it was nice to promote a show she actually likes. “It’s nice to, like, promote something and not have to lie about it,” she said. Fargo and Friday Night Lights aren’t the only shows the actress loves. She also revealed that she prefers The Bachelor over The Bachelorette. “It’s one of the funniest, smartest shows on television, it just is,” she said. “The way it’s edited. It’s comedic gold.”
