Kim Richards is stepping into the limelight once again after a tumultuous run on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

This time, the 51-year-old is working on her relationship with daughter Kimberly Jackson, 21.

In an exclusive first clip from Lifetime’s The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition, Richards and Jackson argue as emotions run high.

“Don’t tell me what to do, I’m defending myself!” Richards yells at Jackson.

Later, Jackson wipes away years as she tells her mother, “I want you to stay healthy always.”

The new series partners six sets of celebrity mothers and daughters with therapist Dr. Debbie Magids with the aim to repair their broken relationship through eight weeks of intensive therapy.

Richards has struggled with sobriety and was arrested last April and charged with trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. She later checked into rehab. Earlier this week, Richards’ ex-husband Monty Brinson died at age 58.

Other cast members on the upcoming Lifetime series – which is produced by 495 Productions – include Heidi Montag and mother Darlene Egelhoff; Courtney Stodden and her mom, Krista; Bad Girls Club‘s Natalie Nunn and her mom, Karen; Shar Jackson and her daughter Cassie, and Hollywood Exes‘ Jessica Canseco and her daughter, Josie

The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition premieres March 1 at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
