Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Why North West May Be Kim Kardashian's Last Child
"I never thought I would be begging to be pregnant," said Kim on Keeping Up with the Kardashians
Despite the fact that Kim Kardashian West previously said she and husband Kanye were having sex "500 times a day" in order to get pregnant again, Sunday’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians made Kim fear that no amount of effort would ever be enough.
As Kim, 34, revealed on the most recent KUWTK, health issues may keep her from being able to carry a baby to term without risking her own life.
The problem, as she told Kanye, is that her “placenta grew onto [her] uterus.” Her doctors told her every “worst-case scenario,” including one that could result in giving birth to a second child but being rushed into emergency straight after to have her uterus entirely removed.
Her doctors strongly advised she consider surrogacy, but Kim was not having it – even though mom Kris Jenner told her that Kourtney, 35, “would probably do it.” (After three of her own pregnancies, however, it’s difficult to imagine Kourtney would arrive at the decision easily.)
“I complain so much about how I hated being pregnant, and I never thought I would be begging to be pregnant,” Kim told sister Kendall Jenner, 19, and BFF Jonathan Cheban at dinner. “Trying for baby number two is just not fun like baby number one I’m like, ‘I’m ovulating in five minutes! Get over here!’ ”
In an effort to resolve the issue and to give North a little brother or sister, Kim decided to undergo surgery. The episode ended with a “To Be Continued … ” title card as Kim was wheeled into the operating room.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
