Kim Kardashian West still supports Scott Disick, despite his recent issues.

Disick, 32, who split from Kourtney Kardashian in July, after he was spotted flirting with another woman in Monte Carlo, entered rehab last month for the second time in a year – only this time, it seems to be sticking.

“Every time we [see him], he’s back to his old self and he’s so happy,” Kardashian West tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s issue. “But it’s an adjustment. I don’t want to say anything too soon.”

The 35-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star gives her sister Kourtney credit for ending the relationship when she did – and perhaps giving Disick the nudge he needed to seek professional help.

“It’s been the same cycle with those two, the same issues and the same cycle for 10 years,” says Kardashian West of her sister’s relationship with Disick. “Kourtney finally stood up for herself and said, ‘I have kids now and I don’t want to be a bad example for them.’ She really has taken that stand and been so amazing.”

Continues Kardashian West: “I admire how she’s wanted to just make the right decisions. And I love to see her journey. It’s a hard one right now, but I think it’s bettering the family.”

As for Disick, who is still receiving treatment at a center, though he is not there full-time, Kardashian West is optimistic.

“He’s tried [rehab] a couple of times [before],” says Kardashian West. “But this [most recent stay was] the first time he’s ever spent weeks and weeks somewhere. We love Scott, and we’re so happy he’s getting help. We hope for the best.”
