Khloé Kardashian Producing New TV Show 'Twisted Love', Jokes the Title Is 'Very Ironic'

The six-part series will explore "what happens when love and affection spiral into a twisted web of extreme obsession and jealousy"

Khloé Kardashian is adding another EP credit to her IMDB page.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will executive produce Twisted Love, a new six-part series coming to Investigation Discovery in 2020.

The show will explore “what happens when love and affection spiral into a twisted web of extreme obsession and jealousy,” the log line reveals. “Featuring poisoned passions, scandalous affairs, and real-life fatal attractions, each hour-long episode of Twisted Love follows investigators as they dissect complicated relationships between spouses, friends and family members to answer the question: Who felt a love so strong it drove them to kill?”

The series is Kardashian’s second with the network: She also executive produces Twisted Sisters, a true-crime show about sisters who work together to commit crimes or turn on each other.

Announcing the news on her Instagram Story Wednesday, Kardashian, 34, couldn’t help but laugh at her latest project’s title given her own complicated romantic history.

“My TV show titles are very ironic LOL,” she wrote. Still, she clarified it was just a coincidence, adding: “These titles and TV shows have been in the works for years. Twisted Sisters has been on air and is going into its second season.”

Indeed, the announcement of the new show comes at an interesting time for the star. Wednesday marks the one-year anniversary of the day her then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson‘s alleged infidelities first came to light.

On April 10, 2018, just two days before Kardashian gave birth to their daughter True, the basketball player was caught on video getting close to an unidentified woman in a New York City lounge. At the same time, TMZ published footage from October 2017 allegedly depicting Thompson kissing one woman while a different woman groped him at a hookah lounge outside of Washington, D.C.

Thompson has never publicly addressed the allegations, but the drama unfolded in excruciating detail on KUWTK, with the reality star admitting the situation was “humiliating” and calling Thompson a “complete piece of s—.”

Nevertheless, she forgave him — but that wasn’t the only cheating scandal they would weather. In February, reports surfaced that Thompson had hooked up with Jordyn Woods, her sister Kylie Jenner‘s longtime best friend.

Woods, 21, has since admitted that Thompson, 28, kissed her at an afterparty at his house but adamantly denied having sex with him.

Kardashian initially slammed Woods on Twitter after the interview, blaming her for breaking up her family, but she softened her tone a day later and placed the fault instead on Thompson.

“This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have,” she tweeted on March 2. “Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.”

“What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me,” she admitted. “Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault. I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True.”

A source told PEOPLE last week that Kardashian is doing much better and that her “heartbreak seems to have passed.”

“Although she really wanted Tristan to come around, grow up and be a man, she seems to have realized that she’s much better off now,” said the source. “Everyone is happy to see her happier.”
