Khloé Kardashian is expressing herself on social media – but don’t read too much into it.

The reality star “went deep on insta”, Sunday, sharing a quote with a lengthy personal note in the place of a caption. She later addressed speculation over her message’s meaning on Twitter, insisting that “not everything is a subliminal.”

Kardashian, 31, first shared some wisdom about life and love alongside an image that read, “It doesn’t matter how loyal you are to someone. You can’t change someone’s heart and bad habits unless they want to themselves.”

“Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore,” Kardashian wrote. “It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.”

She continued, “Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore. It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself. Letting go with love takes great strength. We have to learn to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own. Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back.”

Kardashian went on to write that she believes “timing is everything,” and that people can’t force their beliefs and dreams on to someone else. “Stop shattering your own heart by trying to make a relationship (friend, family, partner) work that clearly isn’t meant to work… Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without.”

She concluded the message with a warning against trying to fix a broken person, “For you may cut yourself on the shattered pieces.”

On Twitter, Kardashian explained that she shares long captions, like Sunday’s, “because I’m speaking from my heart.”

“I know it gets lengthy but I feel the message is important to get across for ME,” she wrote. “I don’t write these about anyone per say but they are feelings or thoughts that I’ve had before and I want to try and explain to people that it does get better and we will always rise above the ashes.”

After thanking fans for their support, Kardashian quickly admonished those that speculated over the note’s deeper meaning – specifically, its relation to her estranged husband Lamar Odom and the recent engagement of little brother Rob Kardashian.

“The fact that certain blogs are picking up what I wrote and are trying to read deeper into my post is what prevents me from writing more of my thoughts on social media,” she wrote. “Not everything is a subliminal. Not all song writers, tv or film writers, poets write from experience. People might just need a place to express. I believe writing is therapeutic on any level and I believe art in any form is personal and should not be explained.”

A source recently told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Odom – who was recently released from the hospital after an overdose in October – are at odds over his health and wellness.

“Khloé is very worried about Lamar and his behavior,” said the source. “But Lamar refuses to listen to her. He actually said to her, ‘Nothing will happen to me. Look how I survived the last time.’ ”

Of Rob’s engagement to Blac Chyna, another source told PEOPLE that Kardashian is “furious” over her brother’s “lack of respect.”

The insider added, “She can’t believe Rob didn’t tell the family in advance. She thinks Rob is causing drama on purpose and wants them [his family] to be arguing.”
