A source tells PEOPLE that Kardashian and her estranged husband “aren’t talking.” “It was her decision,” says the insider, explaining that Kardashian, 31, had grown frustrated with Odom’s behavior in recent months, during which he was spotted drinking more than once despite being in recovery from a near-fatal overdose in October. “The times she went to see him recently, he was pretty messed up,” the source said. “She’s sick of it. She feels like she’s done everything she can and it’s just ridiculous at this point.” Kardashian, while still legally wed to Odom, 36, is moving forward with their divorce and filed papers for a second time in May. At the time, a source told PEOPLE “Khloé cares about Lamar and he’ll always be in her life, but there is only so much you can do for a person.” “You can’t help or fix someone who won’t fix themselves,” added the source. A different source told PEOPLE earlier this month that the former NBA star appears to be falling back into old habits. “He is a sad mess,” said the insider, who added that Kardashian and her family fear Odom might relapse. “His body is not back to normal and it never will be,” said the source. “There is a fear that he will again have an overdose.” Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
