So how did the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star keep calm through the challenging months? “Sometimes a little ice cream helps when you are down in the dumps,” Kardashian, 31, told fans through a video on her personal site and app. “But you know what? Music is a mood changer. If I am sad and I listen to something sad, a love song or whatever, I am going to be sadder and cry. “And sometimes you need a good cry, but you cannot sit balled up in a corner and just ‘woe is me,’ ” she added. Kardashian, who is recovering from a staph infection and helping to care for her estranged husband Lamar Odom, also seeks solace in exercise. “I work out so much better when I am sad or upset. I have so much energy when I am angry,” she said. Whether she is spooning out ice cream for her sorrows or sweating it off, Kardashian knows it’s important not to dwell on the negative. “Everyone is allowed to have their day, everyone is allowed to feel bad, but you got to get over it,” she said. “So, either go to the gym, watch a funny movie, watch some good light-hearted TV, or call one of your girlfriends that always make you laugh.”
