She’s a married woman. They’re both married men. Of course it’s going to be a little uncomfortable!

“It’s awkward, but it’s been awkward from the beginning. It’s always awkward. It doesn’t stop being awkward,” Scandal star Kerry Washington tells Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Thursday about kissing costars Tony Goldwyn and Scott Foley.

And there’s been a lot of scandalous kissing on the show, too. So, which leading man is the better smoocher?

That question, too, makes Washington, 37, clearly uncomfortable. “No, I look, I don’t. They’re equally, um. I don’t ” she says – though finally she is able to stammer out a reply.

“I don’t enjoy either one. I think they’re both lovely men. I think they’re both amazing,” she says. “I love my job, and I like that I get to work with such talented, extraordinary guys, but it’s awkward It’s the job.”

“She’s a newlywed. Her husband is watching she has to say that,” Foley says with a laugh.

Never mind Washington’s husband, former NFL pro Nnamdi Asomugha – what about Foley’s wife, Marika Dominczyk? How does she feel about him kissing Kerry?

“I mean, my wife is okay. Yeah, she’s fine with it,” says the father of two with a third on the way. “The first episode that I was in, Kerry and I had to make out. And we had a viewing party And after the love scene, it was sort of quiet because no one knew how Marika was going to act. And she broke the silence and said, ‘Why don’t you bring some of that home?!’ ”

To which DeGeneres replies with a laugh: “You have a baby on the way you brought some of it home!”
