Kendra Wilkinson on Holly Madison: 'I Made a Mistake by Thinking What We Had Was Real'
“I don’t ever want to have a relationship with Holly again,” Wilkinson tells PEOPLE Now of her former Girls Next Door costar. “And I made a mistake by thinking what we had was real.”
Though Wilkinson, 30, and Madison, 35, have both acknowledged they haven’t spoken in years, the transition from former friends to women at war was made official after Madison lobbed several bombs at both Wilkinson and the ladies’ mutual ex, Hugh Hefner, in her memoir Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.
Wilkinson tells PEOPLE that, in hindsight, the friendship formed in the Playboy Mansion was never authentic in the first place.
“A lot of stuff was done out of like, ‘Oh, we gotta stick together to make this certain image last,’ ” she says, “but then I realized I am a different person, I have a different lifestyle.”
Now, she adds, “The last thing I want is for whatever she does in her life to affect my life.”

Wilkinson previously told PEOPLE she believes Madison used the 89-year-old Playboy magnate to further her own agenda for fame.
“Holly, you can tell, had this ulterior motive every minute being at the Mansion, and that motive was – it was clear as day – she wanted Hef’s kids, she wanted a piece of Playboy and she wanted to marry Hef for, obviously, his will,” Wilkinson said, adding that her shocking claims are inspired by “revenge.”
As for their now defunct friendship? Wilkinson says it never existed to begin with.
“We aren’t sisters, we never were,” she says. “We just dated the same guy at the same damn time.”
