Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Kylie Vows to Move Away from Kris 'The Second' She Turns 18
Following a mother-daughter bonding trip gone awry, Kylie reveals that she wants to move out as soon as she's legal
Not even Kris Jenner is immune to the sulking, moody reality of trying to interact with one’s 17-year-old daughter.
On this week’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, a mother-daughter bonding trip saw Kylie revealing that she plans to move out “as soon” as she turns 18. While the bomb was dropped without malice – just as a quiet fact – Kris was totally floored.
Prior to their trip, Kylie and Kris had not had a meaningful conversation in weeks, so Kris decided to take her youngest daughter to San Diego to visit her mother. Kylie basically had to be dragged kicking and screaming, and she was unbelievably sullen through the two-hour drive.
As Kylie revealed in an interview: “My mom is always on my case about this or that. … If we’re gonna take a trip together, I just want to talk about things other than work.”

She had a point. Kris was talking Kylie’s ear off about a possible opportunity on Pretty Little Liars and about uploading video diaries about her personal style for her fashion-obsessed fans.
Though Kris was intent on a proper bonding session by the time they reached the hotel, Kylie demanded her own room.
During a family shopping trip the next day, Kylie basically started filling out change-of-address forms. Kris’s mother, M.J., didn’t help when she told Kylie that she had moved out when she was just 16.
Later, M.J. was able to talk Kris down by reminding her how she was at 17. She also made Kylie realize that she’ll miss Kris when she leaves the nest. “I’ve been a little tough on my mom,” Kylie acknowledged before agreeing to spend time with her mother at an amusement park.
Despite her slight change of heart, Kylie gave no indication that she wasn’t still counting down the days until the moment she becomes a legal adult. (We’re sure Tyga will be pleased.)
