Kim Kardashian West is a tough fashionista to please.

In a sneak peek at Sunday’s upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Jenner tries on outfits for her 60th birthday party in front of her daughter and family friend Jonathan Cheban.

“My mom loves a theme so we wanted the party to be some kind of dress-up party,” Kardashian West explains in an on-camera interview. “I set up this dress fitting, I just want her to have a good time and not worry about any of this.”

The fitting kicks off with Cheban, 41, jokingly asking whether “the pictures were black-and-white back then” as Jenner shows him her clothes from decades past. (“You’re grounded!” Jenner responds with a laugh.)

Then Jenner shows Kardashian West, 35, a black dress as a potential option for the afterparty.

“Yeah, well, I mean, I’d have to still see it on,” Kardashian West insists.

While the black dress makes the cut, the momager’s next outfit – a white, layered fringe flapper dress – gets shut down immediately.

“Oh s—, stop!” Cheban says, laughing.

“No. You’re in a car wash,” Kardashian West says bluntly.

“It comes in black if you like it that much!” Jenner teases.

Ultimately, though, Jenner comes out in the winner: a form-fitting, high-waisted white skirt with a long train and a matching long-sleeved shirt – and even though she explains she doesn’t “have the Spanx on,” the outfit is a total hit.

“This is it. I love this,” Kardashian West says, giving her stamp of approval.

In the scene, Kardashian West and Cheban also discuss who the second performer at the bash should be.

Though Kardashian West shuts down Cheban’s suggestion that it should be her hubby Kanye West, the rapper ultimately did end up performing at the glitzy Great Gatsby-themed party in November, as well as El Debarge and David Foster.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
