Kate Winslet is proud to hit the big 4-0.

The actress, who celebrated her birthday last week, isn’t concerned about aging one bit. When she stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, she couldn’t help but rave about how happy she is to have made it to 40.

“It really feels fantastic actually,” she said. “I mean I have to say, I was gearing up to it. I was getting ready for it and I feel like I’ve earned these 40 stripes. I made it.”

She added, “Does anyone else have the feeling? When you get to 40 and you’re like yes, I’m there! I really have that feeling, so yeah it’s lovely.”

So what was on Winslet’s birthday wish list? Definitely not just an ordinary birthday cake.

“Pigs,” she revealed. “Two pigs. Mables and Socks, their names are.”

Winslet is slowing turning her England home into her own makeshift farm, with her two pigs joining the eight chickens she has running around her property. Not to mention her three children, Mia, 15, Joe, 11, and Bear, 22 months.

But even with the pigs, chickens and her family, Winslet still feels like her home could use a bit more of a green thumb.

She admitted that each year she vows to do two things: learn French and learn to garden. And yet each year she finds herself coming up short on both resolutions.

To get her one step closer to her goal, DeGeneres gifted Winslet with her very own “Winslet’s Wheelbarrow” stocked full of gardening goods.
