Up till now, the closest link Kate Moss had with the world of pop music was her romantic entanglements. That may soon change, as the veteran British supermodel is apparently set to step into the rock ring.

According to reports, Moss, 35, would showcase her talents as either a Kara DioGuardi-like judge or Ryan Seacrest-esque host on Simon Cowell‘s next U.K. talent-search venture: a So You Want to Be a Rock ‘n’ Roll Star? battle-of-the-bands-type program.

British press reports indicate that a deal is in the works between the TV entrepreneur and business tycoon Sir Phillip Green (who in 2007 introduced a line of Moss’s designs in his Topshop chain) for the supermodel to become involved in developing and merchandising the new program. In addition, her role would extend to Cowell’s other shows, including American Idol and Britain’s Got Talent.

By some estimates, the TV gig could yield the already rich model another $80 million.
