Kate Bosworth might just be the coolest stepmom ever.
Turns out, there are some serious perks that come with having a famous parent: like calling in last-minute tickets to Taylor Swift‘s 1989 tour. The actress appeared on Conan Monday and revealed how she and her teenage stepdaughter Jasper – both of whom are “huge” T-Swift fans – ended up sitting by the soundboard at her Montreal show in July.
“We were shooting the show [upcoming drama The Art of More] in Montreal, and Taylor was coming to perform – I had met her before and had her contact, but I thought, ‘Gosh, how many emails does she get? Probably a million,’ ” Bosworth, 32, told host Conan O’Brien.
“I emailed her and said, ‘I know this is really last-minute, but my stepdaughter’s in town, and if we could see the show and say hi, that would be amazing,” the former model said.
Last ditch effort aside, Bosworth didn’t think they’d actually get tickets.
“I didn’t really expect anything back,” she said. “Within five minutes, she’s like, ‘Yes, come! Come and see the show.’ She’s so cool. I think the greatest thing about her is she really wants to create great memories for people.”
The actress added that she earned some major points with Jasper, daughter of Bosworth’s husband Michael Polish.
“I was the coolest stepmother in the world: I feel like I got a lot of points for that,” she said. “It’s pretty amazing.”
