If you plan on tuning in to next week’s How to Get Away with Murder season finale, be prepared for a big surprise, at least according to one of the show’s stars, Karla Souza, who plays Laurel Castillo.

“It shocked all of us,” Souza, 29, told PEOPLE at the 8th Annual Women in Film pre-Oscar party in Hollywood on Friday when asked about reading the finale script. “We all called each other up and banged on each others trailers when we got the final script. What we read left us breathless!”

But, there’s a catch. Turns out the cast filmed multiple endings, and even she doesn’t know how this season will all wrap up!

“I don’t know what they decided to go on because they did alternate endings,” admitted Souza. “So I don’t even know what happens. I hope I’ll still be in it!”

Souza, who says now that the show is finished shooting she finally has time to do things like “go to the dentist,” is still reeling from last week’s episode, mostly because of guest star Cicely Tyson, who played Viola Davis‘s mom.

“Cicely Tyson is amazing. She asked to be called Ophelia (her character’s name) instead of her name on set all throughout filming,” said Souza about Tyson’s acting method.

“It was a master acting class. I think Viola felt the same. It was really special. She’s a woman of integrity in this crazy industry. It was such a pleasure to have her on set.”

The two-hour season finale of How to Get Away with Murder airs on Thursday, Feb. 26, on ABC.
