While Julie Chen and Aisha Tyler are respectful with what they share about their The Talk co-hosts, they’re happy to discuss Sharon Osbourne‘s strength.

“She’s an amazing lady,” Tyler tells PEOPLE Now. “She’s tough and she’s resilient and she’s also honest and she’s forthcoming.”

In particular, Tyler and Chen admired Sharon’s demeanor amid very public relationship problems with husband Ozzy Osbourne earlier this year.

Of the couple’s current status, Chen says, “I think it’s a day to day thing… But they’re together.”

Sharon, 63, and Ozzy, 67, were estranged after his affair with hair colorist Michelle Pugh was revealed over the summer.

However, during a July episode of The Talk, Sharon said she’d forgiven her husband, joking that the rocker is a “dirty dog,” and saying, “He’s gonna pay big.”

Says Tyler of the ordeal, “She’s really very honest about what she’s going through… we just want to make her feel supported and loved.”

Of being open with viewers about their personal lives, Tyler explains, “For all of us, when we have gone through personal stuff, you know – I’ve had this conversation with the other ladies – you should share something because you’re ready to share it, not because you feel obligated, or that you owe people an answer.”

Chen says that she and the other co-hosts – who also include Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood – want to share with their audience, but would “never reveal something that involves somebody else without their blessing.”

“Sharon had some stuff that she wasn’t ready to talk about,” Tyler says as an example, “and we all had the conversation with her, which was, ‘You don’t owe anybody anything.’ “
