Julianna Margulies dropped in on The Tonight Show Tuesday to see Jimmy Fallon, and the star of The Good Wife took a bit of a left turn from her usual role as a litigator to portray a school vice-principal in a skit with Fallon.

But the skit’s a little more Glee than Boston Public: The pair sing their way through an assortment of awkwardly rendered pop songs, and even fit in a dance segment at the end. (It’s more than a little reminiscent of Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer‘s “Culp Family” during the late-1990s run of Saturday Night Live.)

Margulies returns to The Good Wife Sunday, Sept. 21, after last season’s shocker ending. Fans will have to see how the show’s new season plays out without Josh Charles’s dashing attorney Will Gardner, who was killed near the end of the series’ fifth season.

Watch the full clip from the Tonight Show segment below, and be sure to tune in to The Good Wife when it premieres Sept. 21.
