Joy Behar Officially Returns to The View (and Candace Cameron-Bure Joins!)
"Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in," Joy Behar says
Joy Behar is back.
“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in,” Behar, 72, said in a statement. “Plus, [husband Steve Janowitz] was getting tired of applauding every time I gave my opinion. But I’m happy to be back home. And I’m looking forward to sticking my two cents into the hot topics, especially now that Hillary and the Donald are in the spotlight.”
Behar, 72, left the daytime talk show in 2013 but has come back to guest-host ever since. In late July, she said she rejected the network’s offer to co-host again, telling WBAZ, “They wouldn’t really negotiate well enough for me.”
Of her original departure, she said, “I’m not always sure why that happened, but I was ready to go. I had had enough. I think that somebody – I can’t mention names – made the decision to change the show for some reason. So Elizabeth Hasselbeck and I both had to leave.”
