Getting the creek back together for a reunion would be amazing, but there’s one big problem: what would happen to Jen Lindley?

Stopping by The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing Tuesday), Joshua Jackson touched on the issues as to way there hasn’t been — and probably won’t ever be — a Dawson’s Creek reunion with the beloved cast.

“We killed Michelle [Williams] at the end of the season,” he reminded DeGeneres. “The other thing is, it’s been a really long time. And I think for anyone who was actually a fan of Dawson’s, to actually see the four of us on camera again, might be a little bit shocking and heartbreaking.”

The hit series ended in 2003 after six seasons on The WB.

“We are not cute kids anymore,” the 38-year-old joked. “It’s been a long time. I mean, we’re holding up okay, but I think if you put the four of us now next to the four of us then, it might be a little shocking.”

But DeGeneres wasn’t having it.

“I disagree,” she told Jackson. “I think… lets start a campaign to get this done. I think so.”

Earlier this year, Williams, 36, was also asked about the chances of a possible TV reunion and she admitted that she likes “imagining it,” even though her character was killed off.

“I died,” the Oscar nominee said on the Today show. “I would have to come back as a ghost – or put a lot of filters on the camera, and I’ll do flashback scenes.”
