"The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about," Josh Duggar originally wrote

After getting caught in the Ashley Madison leak, Josh Duggar has issued three revised statements … and counting.

The disgraced former reality star confessed to cheating on his wife Anna on Thursday after hackers revealed he maintained accounts on the website, which helps users arrange extramarital affairs.

The earliest versions of his statement included references to Satan and pornography that have since been removed.

“The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about,” Duggar, 27, wrote in the first edit on his family’s website.

That sentence vanished as of Friday. A second edit removed Duggar’s admission of a pornography addiction, which survived the first round of cuts: “I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction.”

The current, third version, also changes Duggar’s phrasing on being unfaithful. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife,” he wrote.

Duggar is still facing backlash from his first sex scandal. The father of four’s long-hidden, dark secret – that he molested five underage girls, including sisters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard, as a teenager – came to light this spring, and TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting.

Duggar’s betrayal is seen as especially hypocritical given his deep religious beliefs and work as a lobbyist for the conservative Family Research Council. (He resigned in May, and the group’s president blasted his “deceitful behavior” Friday.)

Still, a source told PEOPLE that Anna, who gave birth to daughter Meredith Grace last month, will likely stand by her man.

“Anna will not leave him,” the source said. “As with her in-laws, she is turning more to her faith than ever. She and Josh are probably praying around the clock right now, I would assume.”
