Jordyn Woods says her kiss with Tristan Thompson has had far-reaching consequences for her and her family.

During her highly anticipated, tell-all interview on Jada Pinkett Smith‘s Facebook Watch talk show, Red Table Talk, Woods, 21, shared her side of the story, claiming that the father of Khloé Kardashian‘s child kissed her at an afterparty at his house two weeks ago.

While she adamantly denied having sex with him, Woods — Kylie Jenner‘s longtime best friend — admitted that the next day, while she told Jenner and Kardashian that she had been at Thompson’s house, she didn’t disclose what had happened between them.

“I didn’t tell the truth to the people that I loved,” she said. “Not because of malicious intent, but because I was just scared.”

Woods said while she made a mistake, the story “that didn’t have to be what it was turned into the biggest scandal or betrayal of the year.”

“[It was] not a mistake that’s worth public crucifixion,” she said. “It’s a mistake that should have been dealt with internally.”

“The crazy thing is, the arms that I thought would be around me are nowhere to be found,” she continued. “The first few days of this were definitely the hardest. I couldn’t eat, I didn’t eat for days. I couldn’t look at my phone, even. I just tried to sleep and hope that I’d wake up and this wouldn’t be true.”

Woods said she has received incessant death threats over the scandal and that her family has been forced to remain at home.

“Every time you refresh the page it’s another person bullying, or wishing death upon me, or telling me something like, ‘Your father deserved to die,’ ” she said. “I may have done something wrong, but whatever I did, I don’t think I deserved this. It’s just, it’s not fair.”

(Her dad, John Woods, was a TV sound engineer and close friend of Will Smith‘s. He died of cancer in 2017.)

“If I was a weak person, I would have hurt myself,” she continued, tearing up. “It’s even hard for me to say this … everyone’s safety is now … we can’t leave the house. My brother can’t go to work. My sister can’t go to school. She’s 12 years old. My mother can’t even go to the grocery store.”

Nevertheless, Woods said she’s “not here to play the victim” and if she could do it all over again, she would never even have gone to the party.

“I would not have gone with those girls to an afterparty and just not allowed myself to be in positions to where I also allowed things to happen,” she said. “If I would have told the truth from the beginning — ‘You know what, I was there, we were drunk, this happened,’ I wouldn’t be here today.”

“The truth is always better,” she added. “This is a huge consequence.”

Woods said she had spoken to Jenner, 21.

“I told her I was coming to the table today,” she said. “I think at this point it’s gone too far and enough is enough and when the safety of the people I love is in jeopardy, I have to speak.”

As for Kardashian? Woods said she “let her know that I’m willing to do whatever it takes for her peace of mind.”

“Not for my image, not for my career, because that’s already something in its own,” Woods added. “This is now for your peace of mind, so you know that there was no malicious intent.”

Woods said she wants everyone to “know the truth.”

“I’m willing to take responsibility,” she said. “I’m not asking for people to like me. I’m not asking for people to forgive me overnight. I’m just asking to hear me and to feel me.”

Kardashian, 34, slammed Woods on Twitter after the interview.

“Why are you lying @jordynwoods??” she wrote. “If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”

“Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child,” she continued. “Regardless of what he does to me I won’t do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well.”

Thompson, 27, was first caught allegedly cheating on Kardashian last April when photos and videos surfaced of him getting close to other women just days before she gave birth to their daughter True. Though she initially forgave him, they had been living apart since the fall, and a source told PEOPLE last week that things “never really went back to normal” between the couple.
