Tentatively titled Who Killed JonBenét?, the movie will debut in November, PEOPLE and Deadline can reveal exclusively. The film will star Band of Brothers‘ Eion Bailey as Detective Steve and Mr. Robot‘s Michel Gill and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion‘s Julia Campbell as the parents of young Ramsey (newcomer Payton Lepinski). The 1996 death of Ramsey cast an intense spotlight on the 6-year-old’s family and continues to captivate the nation. More than 140 people have been investigated as suspects, including Patsy and John Ramsey, JonBenét’s parents. But despite more than 1,400 pieces of evidence (including an unidentified footprint near JonBenét’s body) and more than 50,000 pages of investigative documents (including a clue in her autopsy), the mystery of JonBenét’s death remains unsolved. In this week’s issue, PEOPLE reviews the evidence, the suspects and the questions that endure nearly two decades after JonBenét’s beaten and strangled body was found later that morning in the basement of the family’s Tudor brick mansion. Who Killed JonBenét? is slated to premiere in November on Lifetime.
