After months of keeping their engagement a secret, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers finally get to show off some PDA.

Since going public with their love after the season finale of The Bachelorette aired last week, Fletcher, 25, and Rodgers, 27, have been enjoying a relaxing vacation in Malibu, California.

On Sunday, the happy couple was spotted on the beach outside of the gorgeous oceanfront property, tossing a football back and forth and sneaking in a few kisses.

The Malibu villa was provided courtesy of TripAdvisor Vacation Rentals, and the reality stars took to Instagram to thank the company for the gift.

“First week of freedom together and we were able to wake up to this every morning,” Fletcher gushed on Instagram, captioning a picture of the two cuddling on the deck. “Thank you @Tripadvisor Vacation Rentals & @luxuryretreats for the unbelievable engagement gift!”

“Little much needed R&R to celebrate our engagement!” added Rodgers. “Thanks @tripadvisor Vacation Rentals & @luxuryretreats for gifting this amazing pad…forgot to mention we are NEVER leaving!”

Later in the day, the two were also spotted in the contemporary clothing store Ali & Jay store at the Malibu Lumber Yard.

An observer tells PEOPLE Rodgers was picking out dresses for his fiancée and kept saying: “You have this one already!”

“They were making out and laughing while shopping,” says the observer.

As for what’s next for the duo? The couple is moving in together in Fletcher’s hometown of Dallas, Texas – and planning on tying the knot sometime in 2017!

“I have the biggest family and I know my mom already has the largest list of people to invite,” Fletcher told reporters of her and Rodgers’ much-anticipated nuptials during a press call last week. “It will probably be big. I actually started sending him Pinterest photos of types of weddings. I think right now – and this is embarrassing that I already know this – I like an outdoor, kind of rustic wedding. I’m in the phase right now where I’m just sending him pictures and seeing if he agrees!”

“We’re on the same page of what it could look like,” Rodgers added. “It’s going to be a big wedding! There’s going to be a lot of people there. We can’t wait to take a deep breath in a few days and get settled in Dallas and then really start planning that.”
