If you were a Full House fan in the 90s, you likely wanted Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky to bring their TV romance outside of the Tanner household. (And judging by the homemade montages on YouTube, some fans are still holding out hope for a hook up.)

In a new interview with Lori Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky, the actress reveals that a relationship with John Stamos during their run on the hit TGIF sitcom wasn’t in the cards, timing-wise.

“I was actually married at the time that I was doing the show and then I got divorced. And then when I got divorced, [John] met Rebecca Romijn and he got married, so our timing was just really off,” says Loughlin, 48, in an interview with Huff Post Live. “I don’t think it ever entered our minds that it would be something more.”

But has it since? “He’s a really good friend of mine, I love and adore him,” the actress (who stars in the new Lifetime movie A Mother’s Rage) says of being TV-married to every woman’s crush. “I think we have really good chemistry. We get each other. We just click.”

Loughlin married designer Mossimo Giannulli in 1997 and the couple have two daughters. Stamos and Romijn divorced in 2004.

As for Stamos, 49, he appears to be a fan of his friend and former costar’s sentiments: he posted a clip from the interview on his official Facebook page.
