One of America’s beloved uncles is celebrating his birthday!

John Stamos, a.k.a. Uncle Jesse on Full House and Fuller House, turned 53 on Friday, which gave the members of his Netflix family an opportunity to celebrate.

Two of his nieces on the series – Candace Cameron Bure (who plays D.J. Tanner) and Jodie Sweetin (who plays Stephanie Tanner) – both celebrated the actor in Instagram posts.

“Happy birthday Uncle J- love you,” Cameron Bure captioned a photo of the duo. Sweetin also shared in the love: “Happy Birthday Uncle J @johnstamos !! Love you!!”

Lori Loughlin – who plays aunt Becky on the series – also wished her on-screen husband a happy birthday.

“Have Mercy!! 53 never looked so good! Happy Birthday @johnstamos Love you tons!,” she penned.

Fellow cast members who also joined in on the social media well wishes included Bob Saget (who plays Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (who plays uncle Joey), Andrea Barber (who plays Kimmy Gibbler), Soni Bringas (who plays Ramona Gibbler) and Elias Harger (who plays Max Fuller).

The second season of Fuller House is currently filming, with New Kids on the Block set to cameo when it makes its return to Netflix.
