Say it ain’t so, Joe!

Joe Manganiello was forced to drop out of Ryan Murphy’s new Fox drama Scream Queens because of his upcoming publicity schedule for Magic Mike XXL, PEOPLE has learned.

So Oliver Hudson, who plays Jeff Fordham on the ABC drama Nashville (and happens to be the brother of Kate Hudson), will replace Manganiello in the American Horror Story-like show about a college campus rocked by a series of murders.

Hudson’s participation in the new series is not expected to affect his role on Nashville.

Scream Queens hasn’t even started production, but it already boasts an all-star cast. Lea Michele will jump from the series finale of Glee to the new show. Joining her will be Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Keke Palmer (Akeela and the Bee), singer Ariana Grande, Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), Emma Roberts (American Horror Story: Freak Show) Nasim Pedrad (Saturday Night Live, singer Nick Jonas, and Billie Lourd (A.K.A. Carrie Fisher’s daughter).

No specifics about the plot or characters have been released.

Production on the series will begin in the spring, and it will premiere in the fall on Fox.
