Teresa Giudice Thanks Fans for Support as Husband Joe Begins Prison Sentence: 'It Means the World to All of Us'
Joe Giudice will report to prison Wednesday for a 41-month sentence
brightcove.createExperiences(); Teresa Giudice is thanking fans for support during a difficult time.
“I want to thank all of you for the love & support you have shown my family during this difficult time. It means the world to all of us,” Giudice tweeted Wednesday evening, hours after her husband Joe began his 41-month sentence.
Earlier in the day, she shared a photo of the family together before Joe checked into Federal Correction Institute in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
“My Beautiful Family,” she captioned the shot of, Joe and their four daughters: Gia, 15, Gabriella, 12, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6.
Teresa and Joe, both 43, were convicted of bankruptcy fraud in October 2014 and allowed to serve time separately. Joe’s prison stint comes just months after Teresa was released on Dec. 23 after a nearly 11-month sentence.
After beginning his sentence, Real Housewives of New Jersey released a statement to PEOPLE through family attorney James J. Leonard Jr.
“It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away,” the statement read in part.
Joe previously told PEOPLE he did his best to prepare his children for his sentence.
“I had a little meltdown the other night with my daughter Gabriella talking to her,” Giudice said, adding, “but we will be all right we will get through it.”
