Jodie Sweetin to Become a 'Rock and Roll' Reality Star
"We're a little edgier" than Tori & Dean the former Full House star says of her hopeful TV return
Jodie Sweetin is taking the “rock ‘n’ roll” approach to getting back on the small screen.
“My husband and I are now shooting our reality show, which is going to be really fun,” Sweetin, 26, told PEOPLE at Saturday’s Los Angeles Confidential pre-Emmy party. “It’s following us and our new baby.”
Explained the former Full House star, “Kind of like a Tori & Dean vibe, but we’re a little more rock and roll. We’re a little edgier,” with a laugh.
She told PEOPLE in June of the show, “[It’s about] getting back in the business, especially for me. I think it’s going to be really exciting. Definitely my sillier, funner side, and me being a mom. Add in this business, [and] it’s going to be a fun show.”
Sweetin gave birth to daughter Zoie in April. The father is Cody Herpin, who Sweetin married in July 2007.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s reality show Home Sweet Hollywood follows Spelling and McDermott through their journey of parenthood.
One thing less certain is a home for the show, which is awaiting a network. “We don’t [have one], we’re actually shooting it,” Sweetin says. “We’ve shopped it with several right now, and we’re still in talks or negotiations with two of them.” One of those networks is VH-1, she says.
