Real Housewives of Miami alum Joanna Krupa‘s ex-husband Romain Zago has officially moved on!

Nearly two years after finalizing his divorce from Krupa, 40, Zago, 46, popped the question to his girlfriend Carolina Delgado — with the help of two Miami policeman.

On Saturday, the Mynt nightclub and newly opened MynTu Restaurant owner shared a video of his unconventional proposal on Instagram.

In the clip, Zago can be seen driving in South Beach in his white Range Rover with Delgado sitting in the passenger seat.

“Romain is about to propose to his girlfriend,” a text reads over the clip. “Carolina thinks that she’s out for lunch with Romain.”

Everything seems to be going smoothly until all of a sudden a Miami Beach Police car appears behind them and demands that Zago pull over.

When the officer approaches Zago’s vehicle, he asks for his license and registration. He then informs the former reality star that his license is suspended.

“Oh, that was taken care of sir,” Zago tells the officer in the clip.

“You sure about that?” the officer says before asking Zago to step out of his car.

As the two men walk to the back of the vehicle, the officer can be seen subtly handing Zago a little box as he “arrests” Zago.

After watching Zago be placed in handcuffs, a very worried Delgado gets out of the Range Rover and can be heard telling the cops, “But it was taken care of!”

The policeman proceeds to tell Delgado that driving with a suspended license is a criminal offense and that Zago will be taken into custody.

Because Delgado is a licensed driver, the officer tells her she’s free to leave with the car, but she has to tell Zago goodbye.

Before she can react, Zago gets down on one knee.

“You’ve got to be kidding me Romain! You don’t do that!” Delgado says shakily.

“Oh my God, I got so scared,” Delgado says before playfully kicking and hitting Zago.

The two then share a sweet kiss and embrace as Delgado basks in the beauty of her new bling.

“SHE SAID YES!!! Just over a year ago, Carolina @carolinadelgadofit asked me if Mynt was open on a Thursday evening. Had I known she was gonna come so beautiful, irresistible & charming, ready to Hunt 🏹 me like a Trophy 🏆, ready to make me happy, ready to send me 180 roses after our first week together,” Zago captioned the clip.

“I would have probably been so nervous that I would have f— everything up… By then, I didn’t even know I was ready to settle down again and there I was… smiling like a 12 y/o.”

Zago then gave a shoutout to the two police offers.

“So to make our engagement a bit special, I made sure to reach out to our friends in the @miamibeachpd w #ElpidioGarcia & @Eliocruz4, and give her the same surprise & feeling I felt just over a year ago when she first came to meet me,” Zago wrote.

“To my now fiancée Carolina, I thank you for rescuing me, for making me happy & for showing me what life can be all about,” Zago concluded.

Delgado also shared the happy news writing, “YES, I DO WANNA MARRY YOU.”

“I chose you long ago, I chased you, I sent you flowers, and I hunted 🏹you ✔️.”

“Here we are; 14 months later planning our future together. It has been a “not so easy road”, but the obstacles that were presented in our path, made us learn from our mistakes and also made us grow stronger than ever,” Delgado wrote.

“I love you more than anything and I’m ready to make each other happy.! There’s no one in the world more perfect for me than you!”

Shortly after the proposal, the lovebirds jetted off to Paris.

“Engagemoon Paris!” Delgado captioned a photo of herself and Zago smiling into each other’s eyes while toasting with wine.

Delgado and Krupa finalized their divorce in August 2017 after four years of marriage.

“Joanna and Romain remain grateful for the years they spent together and wish each other nothing but continued happiness and success,” Krupa’s attorney Raymond J. Rafool said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Krupa has also moved on since their split.

Last August, Krupa married businessman Douglas Nunes during an intimate ceremony in Poland, where Krupa is originally from.

“We did it ! @nunes451… “ wrote Krupa, 39, alongside a photo of the pair gazing into each other’s eyes on the big day.

“It was a very private and small family gathering,” added the bride, who was wearing an elegant white floor-length, off-the-shoulder gown. “Wish I could have shared it with all the people that I love.”
