Who knew Jimmy Kimmel is such a softie?

Kimmel, 47, is a total “Martha Stewart,” his wife, Molly McNearny, tells Entertainment Weekly.

“When we started dating, I would go back and forth between my place and his,” she reveals in this week’s issue (on newsstands Friday). “I have my stuff at my house, and I like my own space. One time, he was in the bathroom for a very long time, and I just figured something was going on internally.”

She says, “A few days later, he presented me with this big box that had two of everything in my makeup and Dopp kit, because he saw that I was lugging stuff back and forth, and he wanted me to be comfortable in his home. He was in the bathroom for that hour and a half with my bag going through every single thing: every lotion, razor, deodorant, shampoo, makeup.”

Adds McNearney, “He really is the greatest wife you could ask for.”

Apologies to husbands around the nation – you’re officially going to have to level up.

The couple wed in July 2013 after dating for four years. One year later, they welcomed their first child, a girl named Jane. Kimmel also has two other children, Kevin and Katie, from his first marriage, to Gina Maddy.

Kimmel is not just a great “wife” but a great host, too – as he tells EW, he’s so hesitant to ask for anything himself that he makes sure his guests never need to.

This habit was taken to its extreme back in college when the Live! host failed a test because he forgot to bring a pencil and was “too embarrassed” to ask somebody else for one.

(If anybody ever asks, that’s also why we failed statistics class.)
