It may be Jimmy Fallon‘s birthday on Saturday, but he’s definitely the one giving gifts, rather than receiving them.

In yet another hilarious The Tonight Show sketch, Fallon teamed up with Lionel Richie to recreate the singer’s iconic 1983 music video for single “Hello,” on Friday night.

Fallon emulated Richie’s ’80s video getup and even donned a curly wig similar to the “All Night Long” singer’s own hair from the decade.

Like the original music video, Fallon stood in an art studio, crafting a “clay bust” of Richie and painting his portrait. Rather than actually clay, however, Richie himself was ensconced in the table – with only his head peeking up out.

The pair dueted on the emotional ballad, and Fallon could barely contain his laughter.

“Had such a great time on @fallontonight @jimmyfallon,” Richie wrote on Instagram, and shared a backstage photo with a costumed Fallon.

Richie announced earlier this week that he’ll be bringing his All the Hits, All Night Long tour to Las Vegas for a residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s The Axis.

The residency already has 20 scheduled dates, and is set to begin on April 27, according to Rolling Stone.
