Entertainment TV Jessa (Duggar) Seewald Shares Bible Passage About Confession 3 Weeks After Turning Her Back on Disgraced Brother Josh: 'If Thou Shalt Confess Thou Shalt be Saved' The former reality star publicly broke ranks with her scandal-plagued brother earlier this month By Aurelie Corinthios Published on September 21, 2015 05:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Getty Jessa (Duggar) Seewald continues to turn to God in the wake of the recent scandal surrounding her older brother Josh Duggar. The former 19 Kids and Counting star took to Instagram on Monday to post a Bible passage about confession just three weeks after she publicly turned her back on her disgraced sibling after he admitted to developing an Internet pornography addiction and being unfaithful on his wife Anna. “If though shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” reads the verse, which is underlined with a red pen. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Jessa, 22, also seems to have underlined the following: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Jessa shared the image on her Facebook and Twitter pages on Monday as well. Josh’s recent pornography and infidelity confession came just three months after an initial scandal surrounding him broke in May, when a 2006 police report revealed that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s eldest son had molested five underage girls as a teen. Jessa and her sister Jill (Duggar) Dillard subsequently stepped forward as two of the victims, and TLC officially canceled the family’s reality show in July. Josh checked himself into rehab on Aug. 26. Regarding why Jessa and Ben turned on Josh, Ben’s sister Jessica Seewald recently told Page Six “sometimes it becomes necessary to stand up and speak the truth.” “Ben and Jessa are very tender, so I’m sure they’re doing as much as they can for everyone involved,” she added. The couple is expecting their first child on Nov. 1, which also happens to be their one-year anniversary. Jessa recently spoke to the Duggar Family Blog to give an update on her pregnancy. “One of the most amazing parts of pregnancy has been feeling those tiny (and sometimes powerful) little kicks!” wrote Jessa. “It seems amazing how we can find ourselves so in love with someone who we’ve yet to meet face-to-face.” RELATED: How Well Do Ben & Jessa Duggar Seewald Know Each Other? In terms of the challenges, Jessa said she suffered from morning sickness for about four weeks and also has experienced “heartburn, and the shortness of breaths that occurs when baby is cramped up in there and pressing on your lungs!” “But I cannot complain in the least when I see dear friends who have suffered multiple miscarriages, or unusually difficult pregnancies, or even infertility,” continued the former reality star. “Even when things in pregnancy seem difficult, I can’t help but think of others who are dealing with so much more. This really puts things in perspective for me.”
