Jessa (Duggar) Seewald Seeks Pregnancy Advice from Sister Jill
Jessa's big sister Jill Dillard has plenty of wisdom to share after giving birth to her firstborn, son Israel David Dillard, on April 6
“I am not comparing, not worrying about what could happen, we are just getting prepared,” says Jessa, the third Duggar daughter.
“Every birth story is unique,” she adds. “We think we want to go with a midwife and plan for a home birth, but I want to just be prepared that not everything may go as planned and try not to get too worried about it.”
Now headed into her second trimester, the mom-to-be is grateful her morning sickness has finally waned and is taking her first pregnancy day by day.
“I thought I’d crave pickles and lemons because my mother did, but I couldn t stand them. And one day I suddenly couldn’t do dairy,” says Jessa, 22. “I would sit and bed and eat crackers, hoping the nausea would pass.”
In the midst of her ups and downs, one person is making sure she stays as comfortable as possible: Ben, 19, her husband of five months.
“He’s so sweet,” she says. “[He’s been] waiting on me hand and foot.”
Fans of TLC’s hit show 19 Kids & Counting, which airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, can see the birth of Israel David on May 5 in advance of Mother’s Day.
