What’s in a name? For Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and her husband Ben, it’s a whole lot – and that makes deciding what to call their newborn son worth the wait.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, into the world Nov. 5 but still haven’t settled on a name.
“We want to give him a strong name, with a lot of meaning,” Jessa, 23, tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.

Jessa says she favors names “of heroes from the Christian faith” – and insists she won’t use a “letter theme” for her brood like her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar did for their 19 kids, whose monikers all start with “J.”
As for Dad?
“He is going to have this name for the rest of his life,” Ben, 20, says of the couple’s big decision.
“It’s been really cool to meet him, look at his face and match a name to who he is,” Jessa adds. “It is going to be very special. A lot of thought has gone into it.”
