Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is no longer just a reality TV regular.

The buff star has landed his first actual acting role, playing famous hip-hop star Angel Adonis, who is the lead judge on a TV talent show in the Yobi.Tv Web series, New Stage.

“We’re gonna do a spoof on judge TV talent,” the newly anointed thespian, 29, explains in the show’s teaser. “I’ll be like that Simon Cow – I don’t even know his name.” (We do – it’s Simon Cowell).

“Nobody has ever done something like this,” Sorrentino adds. “This is a situation in–with [sic] a situation.”

Sorrentino, along with a variety of YOBI contest winners, filmed the original series on the Michigan State University campus earlier this month.

The series will premiere Sept. 27 and air 13 episodes.

Another reality star who did a turn on a series is Audrina Patridge, who starred in the site’s Dream Maker series.
