Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander Reunited at the Seinfeld Diner
George Costanza and Jerry Seinfeld took a stroll down an NYC street yesterday
There was a Seinfeld reunion in New York City Monday.
Two of the show’s stars – Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander – were spotted walking outside of Tom s Restaurant. In case you don’t have our encyclopedic knowledge of the long-running ’90s show, that’s the revered NYC deli on Broadway and West 112th Street that fans of the show know better as Monk’s. Many of the most famous scenes from Seinfeld were set inside soundstage replicas of the diner’s booths.
As photos of “George” and “Jerry” strolling past the famed diner hit the Internet via Twitter and Instagram, fans started speculating about the reunion. When some of the photos revealed that cameras were stationed inside the closed restaurant and were filming the two stars, the rumor mill really started buzzing with speculation about what the famous duo was doing.
Video of Seinfeld co-creator Larry David emerging from the diner showed up online, too, making it seem even more likely that there was some sort of Seinfeld reunion underway.
However, with no Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Newman (Wayne Knight) or Kramer (Michael Richards) in sight, perhaps the threesome were working on something else. Something like the big, huge, gigantic project with David that Seinfeld alluded to earlier this month.
Whatever the project is remains a mystery, though, as no one is talking. Not even George.
