The longtime feud between Teen Mom 2 stars Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry looks like it’s nowhere near over after Evans’ mom, Barbara Evans, joked about killing Lowry while on Instagram Live.

During the now-deleted Instagram Live, Barbara said that they should “get lit and kill Kail.”

Evans, 27, responded, “Oh my god, we’re on live, mom. You can’t say that s—.”

The comment caused a Teen Mom producer to call Evans’ mom, who could be seen in the background of the video talking on the phone. Evans and her mother then tried to clarify their comments.

“Everybody took it out of perspective,” Barbara said after ending the call with the producer. “That’s not really what I meant. I was just doing a joke.”

“I was being sarcastic,” Barbara added, “and everybody freaks out like I’m going to go kill the girl. Come on, I’ve known the girl for 10 years.”

Lowry, 26, responded on Twitter, writing, “I heard barb wants to kill me” after a fan informed her about the video.

She also addressed the fact that many fans noted that Evans and her mother appeared to be drunk in the video, tweeting, “Are drunk words sober thoughts?”

Lowry spoke to In Touch about Barbara’s comments.“I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” Lowry told the outlet. “I have three kids to live for, just like Barbara herself. I’m disgusted it came from her.”“I want no association with any person or network that works with that family,” Lowry continued.“I won’t be filming until further notice,” she added.

Earlier this month, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported that certain Teen Mom 2 crew members are refusing to work on Evans’ segments because they’re afraid of her husband David Eason.

Eason, who has previously threatened trespassers by showing off his extensive gun collection on social media, was fired from Teen Mom 2 almost a year ago after he allegedly posted a series of homophobic tweets referring to gay and transgender people as “abominations.”

In December, Evans shared a video of herself pouring lighter fluid over what she described as a “peace offering” gift from Lowry. After dousing the gift, she set it on fire.

“Been debating whether to upload this, but I feel like the time is appropriate,” Evans captioned the Instagram video. “Kail Lowry, for years you’ve been super jealous and envious of all us girls on the show. You try to make your way into the group, then turn into a mean a– person when it came down to me.”

She continued: “You apologize on/off, claim I need to be apologizing sometimes, then talk s— constantly about me and my husband to the tabloids?!”

Lowry previously opened up to PEOPLE about her longtime feud with Evans, saying she “didn’t care” if Evans quit the MTV reality show.

“I don’t care what Jenelle does,” Lowry said.

She also criticized Evans for accusing MTV of treating the Teen Mom 2 cast “as if we are in a freak show and in cages.”

“I think we all feel differently,” said Lowry. “I have to disagree with her statement about MTV. As far as I can see it, you wouldn’t have stuck with the show for eight years if that was the case, so I’ll leave that there.”

Reps for Evans did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
