Jay Leno‘s hobby is thrilling, but it can also dangerous – and even sometimes life-threatening.

In a sneak peek at Jay Leno’s Garage, the well-documented auto enthusiast checks off at least one item off his bucket list.

When former Tonight Show host, 66, gets to ride in a 2,500-horsepower Hurst Hemi Under Glass drag-racing vehicle with famous drag racer Bob Riggle, it’s a dream come true – but that dream nearly turns into a nightmare.

Just seconds into the guys’ test run at California’s Irwindale Speedway, the car rolls over multiple times, with Garage cameras catching the entire terrifying ordeal both inside and out of the Hemi Under Glass.

Fortunately Leno and Riggle both emerge from the accident unharmed. Ever the consummate comic, Leno deadpans to paramedics: “That was certainly exciting.”
