First Brenda Walsh made her much-anticipated return to 90210, now it looks like her TV sib Brandon will be returning to the old zip code as well.

According to EW.com, Jason Priestley, Beverly Hills, 90210‘s original heartthrob, will get behind the cameras and direct an episode of the new CW series. Sources tell the magazine that he will helm the 18th episode to air this spring.

EW also reports that Priestley’s onscreen sister and fellow 90210 alum, Shannen Doherty is making a deal to return to the series for two episodes later this season. “She’s coming back,” says a source. “The deal isn’t officially done, but it’s happening.” Meanwhile the show’s executive producer, Gabe Sachs, would only reveal that Doherty is “in talks.”

Could Priestley direct any of the episodes that will feature Doherty? Executive producer Sachs says: “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his (former 90210 costars.) But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.” — David Chiu
