Inside Amy (Duggar) King's First Year of Marriage to Husband Dillon: 'We Don't Miss Being Single'

The couple says they love waking up every morning beside each other

For Amy (Duggar) King and her husband Dillon, the first year of marriage has been a breeze!

“We don’t miss being single,” Dillon tells PEOPLE. “We love being with one another and waking up every morning beside each other.”

The couple said “I do” last September in a country-chic wedding near Bentonville, Arkansas, in front of 400 people. Now they’re celebrating their one-year-anniversary – and loving everything about newlywed life.

“If we have an issue we settle it before bedtime,” Dillon says. “I love to cook and Amy cleans or vice versa. Amy handles the laundry, but I take out the trash.”

As for their social calendar, the Kings prefer to spend quiet weekends in.

“We’ve switched out from nights on the town to sweatpants and a movie for most of our Saturday nights,” Amy says.

While they’re still enjoying their first marriage milestone, the pair is already looking towards their future.

“Our first year has been really fun. Our goals for next year are to travel the world and fall further in love with each other! Who knows? There might even be some baby talk.”
