Unsurprisingly, the 23-year-old's pre-fame job as a housekeeper yielded some unpleasant memories

“No money, no family / 16 in the middle of Miami,” “Fancy” singer and current chart topper Iggy Azalea rapped in her debut single, “Work.”

She’s come a long way since then, but a few unpleasant memories still linger, as she revealed to Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately Tuesday.

Azalea was a housekeeper at one point after moving stateside from her native Australia, and it wasn’t quite as glamorous as her current life. “[I] found a poo once,” she told Handler of her experience. “On the doormat, which is not where poos belong.”

“‘Cause it was one of those spiky doormats that gets the dirt off the bottom of your shoes,” Azalea helpfully elaborated. “And it was just like, definitely human,” she added, gesturing to indicate placement.

Azalea’s new album, The New Classic, has performed well since its April release, topping the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart and rising to the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200.
