The much-anticipated alter-ego photo shoot dominated Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta — and Nene, in the self-appointed role of director, attempted to dominate everyone else before acknowledging her past by stripping down and doing a pole dance for the camera.

Here’s a look at all the priceless moments:

Kandi finally dropped her guard and revealed that relatives had been the victims of a drunk driving accident following a gathering at her house. Her story was abysmal enough to make cold-as-ice Sheree cry. And Kandi, to her credit, turned it into a “teaching moment” by channeling her pain for art at the photo shoot.

In an outfit from Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” video, Kim interviewed her already-hired new nanny and added to her roster of women who are “the black version of me” (first Sheree, and now her assistant Myleik, who does all the hiring and firing). Even more ridiculous? Kim’s sequence of double talk: “I’m pretty strict when it comes to my kids. We eat … McDonalds. My parents have done a really great job with me and I hope to do the same for my kids. I do smoke and I like to have a glass of wine. I’m not dead.”

When Lisa and Kim had a meeting — lubricated by a bottle of Chardonnay, of course — to iron out their differences, Kim concluded: “It was really refreshing that she didn’t fly over the table and try to attack me or pull my hair off.” Now that’s civility.

In spite of themselves, Nene and Kandi bonded in the car while listening to the raw version of Kim’s song “Tardy for the Party” while trying to keep a straight face. But with Nene providing guest-vocals (“I’m not telling the world I’m a singer; what I’m saying to the world is I can sing better than Kim,” she said), Kandi producing and Big Papa’s connections, they may — by some perverse twist of reality TV fate — end up laughing all the way to the bank.

How cute was Nene’s husband Gregg when he told his wife, in her alter ego stripper costume, that he had to “go by the bank so I can make it rain?” Nene’s shoot concluded with Gregg declaring that the missus looked stunning. “But you have to understand,” he continued, “Nene strips for me every night and I strip for her too.”

And then Dwight showed up to try on high heels, tell Kim her Betty Crocker costume was “dreadful” (to which Kim replied, “What is an alter ego anyway?”) and praise Nene’s melons, as in: “You know I looooove the melons.” Never has produce seemed so fabulous! –Suzanne Zuckerman
