For the past five seasons, the actress has traveled the world filming her hit Showtime series Homeland. But as the show prepares to begin filming season 6 in New York City, the actress is happy to be working where she lives with husband Hugh Dancy. “I can’t quite believe my luck,” Danes told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday of filming in New York, where Dancy is also based while filming Hulu’s The Path. “Miracles of miracles, we’re both filming in our actual place of residence,” said Danes, who is mom to son Cyrus, 3. “I think I’m really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed … it’s been a long, long time.” Season 6 of Homeland is slated to premiere Jan. 15 on Showtime.
